The Comedians

Headliner: Paul D'Angelo:  Paul spent almost eleven years as an Assistant District Attorney, supervising several of Massachusetts’s busiest courthouses, before building a reputation as a noted criminal-defense trial attorney. The unexpected twist to this story is that, for nine of those years, under the pseudonym of Paul D’Angelo, Paul was simultaneously becoming one of the nation’s top standup comedians.

Combining an energetic, charismatic stage presence and spontaneous improvisational talent with an endless array of intelligent humor delivered in an animated style that grabs and holds the attention of crowds everywhere he performs, Paul’s constantly evolving and diverse selection of original material “takes normal everyday experiences and makes them sound absolutely hilarious.” Critics further write that “(Paul D’Angelo) is an energetic performer who gives a peak performance at every show.” “His quick comedic mind,” “unique observations” and “down to earth, stop-and-think humor” “keeps the crowd in hysterics.”  See more at  Paul's Website.

Featuring Sal Votano, one of Boston’s rising stars, he performs clubs, corporate, benefits and private shows with some of Boston’s top comedians like Steve Sweeney and Lenny Clarke. He was a semi-finalist in the 2009 Giggles comedy competition and the 2010 Plymouth Comedy Festival. His one liner style comedy about growing up in Lynn, marriage, being a builder and owning a liquor store will surely make you laugh.

With Dave Rattigan to open the show: Described as edgy enough to keep comedy fans engaged, but clean enough to work in front of corporate audiences, Rattigan has performed around the Northeast United States and in Ireland. His CD, “Dave Rattigan: Thinks He’s Funny”, has received airplay on XM-Sirius Satellite Radio and on radio stations around the world. In recent years, he's added actor to his resume with spots in regional commercials -- including a popular one for Olympia Sports and another for iParty -- and in the independent film Heavy Times.  Dave's website

And once again our own Mark Riley, one of Boston's top comedians, serves as Master of Ceremonies. People love his high energy, sharp delivery and ability to improv. Mark is able to connect with his audiences in a unique way, with crowd interaction that makes everyone one of his shows different.  But he earned his real stripes in front of the world's toughest audiences: (our) kids.  Funny enough, the kids also provide him with a large amount of material.   But not your kid...really...your kid is perfect.
